Know that being in this conversation means you are in action. Know that the exercises you complete here are in fact, you taking action in a tangible and measurable way. In this week’s seminar, you will start the shift to understanding that your action is the source of your wealth. Richard will explain plainly, the 7 Financial Stages that move you from disorientation and into performance. In the same spirit, he will explain the 4 biggest fears that people have about money and where your financial blind spots may exist that are holding you back. Don’t worry, everyone goes through these stages and Richard will help you navigate it and build your financial game. Remember, it is okay to aim and accomplish one thing at a time.

EPISODE 3 – March 25, 2020

In this 3rd seminar of The Sport of Money, Richard introduces you to a conversation that people rarely have but is critical to your foundation for earning more money, creating more wealth, and increasing your worth. That’s not fancy speak – learn what each of those are and your relationship to them. With a foundation laid to take decisive action, follow Richard and discover the 4 different types of worth and identify which ones you want more of in your life.

EPISODE 4 – April 1, 2020

Richard makes a big statement this week in what surely seems to go against the grain: there is no such thing as self development; all there is, is you taking positive action towards your goals which inevitably creates change. Are you lacking confidence? Then pick a big goal (much larger than surviving) be lit on fire to achieve it and act. What will happen is you will have the experience of saying you will do something and following it through to completion. Learn what the 6 Response-Abilities are and how they appear when problems arise, and what state humans automatically fall into in the absence of goals and awareness. Important for this week’s lesson, learn how emotional engagement creates commitment to financial goals.

EPISODE 5 – April 8, 2020

Money is a game — you can win at it or lose at it – so what kind of game do you want to play? Today, Richard is talking about how your money game relates to the world that we live in. He is talking about the LEAD Sequence which is a tool for calmly assessing and resolving a problem, and why this ties into your financial response-ability. As Richard points out, most people are not aware of their responsibility and this affects their money game because it means a person is showing up on the field but avoiding the gameplay because they are scared to be counted on. In this lesson, you will absorb a whole new way of strengthening your financial foundation, increasing your mental toughness in your money game, and understand why being courageous is more important than being perfect.

EPISODE 6 – April 15, 2020

Are you having a sinking or stuck feeling when you are asking your network of people for money in a project? It is probably because you aren’t clear about what you are asking for and why you want to achieve a particular goal. The people who are best at raising money are concise in messaging, clear on goals, and simple in the ask. While this presents an opportunity to place the knowledge of previous lessons onto a real-life situation, today, Richard will turn the corner to another chapter – your Financial CORE. Learn what your Financial CORE is made of and why you need to assess and reset it, in order to decrease the suffering in your life and others who may be affected by it. Today is your launch pad to strengthen your financial core.

EPISODE 7 – April 22, 2020

If you are going to commit to 10X action and achieving your goals, you will need to fortify the faith that you have in yourself to do it. Building faith in yourself requires intention, and in this week’s TSOM conversation, you will learn how to identify what you know about money, where and when you learned it, and from whom – in order to determine what you have learned about money unintentionally throughout your life. Once you know this, the good news is that you can unlearn the bad stuff, and intentionally choose what is most important to you and your relationship with money. Through your inquiry into yourself, you will assign meaning to the things you choose to intentionally learn, and you can change your financial hardwiring.

EPISODE 8 – April 29, 2020

Your money game can be by default or by design, but one thing that is paramount to modelling your game is to model it after those playing a more professional game than you. To learn however, you need to make room to grow. In this seminar, Richard will take you on a unique journey of Financial Restoration, Reconciliation, and rebuilding yourself into a state of completeness. On the journey this week, you will discover how much baggage you carry in your life, how to let go of the baggage and leave it in history, and the 4 areas of your life that need to be reconciled in order to make room to grow. Only after these tough conversations, can you create a state of completeness and make room to learn new things.

EPISODE 9 – May 6, 2020

The first thing you need to learn this week is that you ALWAYS need to be a student and be curious. If you are always inquiring you are always in action – by design. This week’s conversation is about identifying what your concept of wealth and worth is to you. The only way you can get inspired is by defining this concept for you. The fact is however, that you probably have a concept of wealth and worth that has been automatically downloaded to you through your first impression in life, the stories you’ve heard, and the pictures that you have seen. The goal of this seminar is to work through the exercises Richard puts forth to distinguish what your concept of wealth is by default, and change it to one you created for yourself by design.

EPISODE 10 – May 13, 2020

Have you ever thought about Financial Happiness? Are you familiar with the effects of viewing a situation optimistically or pessimistically? There are both mental and physical responses to each way of thinking. If there is one thing you need to learn this week from Richard, it is that the chemicals your body physically releases have an immediate and direct impact on your mental state. Follow this week’s conversation to learn how to healthily increase the good parts of your brain chemistry, how to re-wire your brain from unhealthy habits, and why physically writing down your goals increases your brain function. That’s not all. Learn a paradox of success and why confidence is greater than ego.

EPISODE 11 – May 20, 2020

Do you have a habit of interchangeably using words and definitions? It is time to stop. Definitions and distinguishing terms and ideas – MATTERS. It matters because if you can’t distinguish where you are or the state in which you exist, it will be impossible to take aim at success. This week, TSOM is about Financial Recalibration so you can take aim, push off, and stretch yourself. It’s a deep lesson this week, so be prepared to learn about the importance of certainty, why commitment to action is more important than keeping score, that confronting fear is tantamount, and that you need to know where your prowess and bravery lives within you.

EPISODE 12 – June 3, 2020

EPISODE 13 – June 10, 2020

If you lack context, you are lacking goals. Goals give a context to your relationships with people, with money, and with your actions. It is not about being active to be busy, but to take action towards a goal — which you set because you gave it meaning. Goals create context which creates decisiveness. Take the next step in your money conversation this week by learning how to plan your goals in a pragmatic and logical way. Additionally, grab your pen and paper to work through the 7 Steps to Financial Activation, and why you must Generate Financial Actionability.

Find a financial mentor and emulate 1 quality they exhibit. Imagine starting today for 1 week, you list each day 1 thing that has you stuck and aim to conquer it or reconcile it. The big messages this week involve assessing where you are and knowing that your experience IS NOT who you are or what you are worth. They are just assessments for you and by you. Better yet, once you forgive yourself and identify what has you stuck or scared, you know where you must take your biggest actions. If you are presenting to a crowd, do you have time to be scared about finding the next client?

While change brings about fear, learn this week why defining fear and identifying it will help you design your money game on purpose, instead of being handicapped by it.

EPISODE 16 – July 8, 2020

Thinking of yourself as a superhero forces you to change the narrative that you have about yourself. Superheroes don’t play small, they play big. It forces you to evaluate not only where your prowess lies, but also where your kryptonite is (and the quickest way to create your own kryptonite). On top of that, thinking about yourself as a superhero means making a decision about why you are playing this game – is it for your ego or for yourself? Inside this paradigm, Richard will help you assess why you need to help yourself first before helping others, why fear is a guide to identifying who you may need to work with, and why you need to use your pen and paper to rise above your baseline money game of survival.

EPISODE 17 – July 15, 2020

Everyone has a financial narrative that they tell themselves about money. What is rarely spoken about however, is when we consciously start noticing the narrative - when we are teenagers. This week, the conversation is about confronting the truth of how you feel in the presence of those with money.
